Anger 1:
Understanding Anger
In this session, we’ll explore the nature of anger and how it shows up in children.

We’ll look at why anger exists, what can trigger it, and what’s happening inside your child’s body when emotions begin to escalate. Understanding this can help you respond with greater empathy and confidence in challenging moments.

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

Understand the fight or flight response and how it influences the child’s behaviour
Recognise the difference between primary and secondary anger in the child
Understand and begin to apply the concept of Red and Green Path thinking to support emotional regulation at home
